October 16th – Bobby Chaisson: Preparing Your Bees For Winter
Find out what you need to do to get your bees ready for winter at our meeting this month…yep, we need to do that starting now!
Also, bring your 2024 officer nominations to this meeting. We will be voting next month, so nominate your fellow member or yourself 🙂
Bobby Chaisson is a Master Beekeeper and was awarded the GBA “Beekeeper of the Year” award in 2019. He’s been keeping honey bees since 2007 and is the Operations Director at Georgia Bee Removal. Even though he works full time with bees, he still somehow finds time to mentor and educate new beekeepers in the wonderful world of honey bees. Bobby will discuss with us the things we need to do to successfully get our bees through winter so they will be healthy and strong in the spring of 2024.
This event will be held at North Georgia Technical College 1500 HWY197, Clarkesville, GA 30523. This course is FREE to all NEGAMBA members. Annual club dues are only $20/yr for a family membership. We’ll get together at 6:00pm for dinner in the Ramsey Hunter dining hall ($10.00). Class begins at 6:30pm. Not a member yet??? No problem, just show up to our meeting (your first meeting is free) and we will get you signed up!
